The two industry giants formed a strategic alliance in 2007, aimed at delivering curricula and content in a unified, personalized and education-relevant Web environment for hundreds of thousands of K–12 teachers, students, administrators and parents.

Through the partnership, school districts can take advantage of Microsoft’s proven technology in a secure, scalable, standards-based solution that is easy to use. Learning Village is built on the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 and utilizes Microsoft Sharepoint Server 2007 and Microsoft Learning Gateway.
